Baby New Year decided to break a couple of costly items in our home to start the 2012. On New Year’s Day, my husband went to use the garage door opener and it wouldn’t work. Several hundred dollars and many days later – new garage door opener installed. Mid-month the new garage door opener wasn’t operating correctly. A couple days later and several hundred dollars more, new tension springs are installed and we are fully operational again. This makes me wonder, what is Cupid going to deliver for the month of February?

Since the only romance I’ll be delivering will be with my husband and not with my romance reading fans, I’ll try to share a little via one of my dearest writing friends. Not only is Lizbeth a dear writing friend, she’s also my cohort in planning our writing group’s annual Fall Harvest Writing workshop, something we will soon be focusing on, as nothing has been set up. No date. No speaker. No location. No nothing. Am I panicked? You betcha (as we say in Minnesota). See, I’m a planner and for me, this should’ve all been taken care of. But my partner assures me that it will all be fine. I trust her and have relaxed, to some extent. We are also waiting for our members to fill out a survey regarding our workshop. Planning will go into effect in March when the survey closes. I hope.

My current work in progress, Rescue Me, is slowly moving along. I’m working on rewrites of the first several chapters and love the changes. I would love for you to ‘Like’ me on Facebook at Jody Vitek Author where you can get news more frequently than in my monthly website postings.
